Puzzle Basics: Double Damage

I can't figure this one out. Anyone else have any luck with it?

I must be misunderstanding something? I put dd on the 1/1 then attack with both -- but the enemy unit defends against my 3/3, so I can only do a maximum of 6 damage by destroying the 1/1? Is there some trick to getting the AI to target the 1/1 that I'm not realizing?

Let the 1/1 do his attack first for 2 damage. Then kill him for 6 more.

I'd just like to add, since it was unclear to me even after reading this thread - you have to let the 1/1 with entomb deal damage before annihilating it. The Sharpshooter will be blocked by the enemy creature, and I didn't realize the first many times I tried this puzzle that you're still able to use the annihilate after the "fight" phase. So make sure the 1/1 with entomb and double damage deals his 2 damage, and then annhilate him to directly deal 6 to the opponent.

I got really stuck on this one because I didn't realize Annihilate could be used after the attack phase.
