Forge is total bullsh!t
Waste of gold. Draft is a much better option. Forge's draws favor the npc opponent way too often. The cost vs. reward ratio is terrible.

Forge = early game deck grinder due to being able to force two colours
Draft = after you have a gauntlet farming decks and/or you are comfortable with the set contents and drafting/FNM style play

Forge suit s new players better, draft is usually a better payoff once you have a handle on the game and cards. Both have their places and uses.

I don't usually get past 5 wins in Draft. Forges are much easier to complete, and an easy source of rare and uncommon cards.
But overall, drafts are definitely more rewarding if you know some basic synergies

Yeah but you don't even win any chests until your third win (silver sucks), cant get diamond chests, have 2 losses instead of three, and the npc opponent gets better draws. Maybe good for just starting but that's terrible compared to draft. I do better on draft plus I find legendaries much more often there.I can usually get at least 2 gold chests out of every draft.

You can also abuse the AI to death.

Geez, I've only been in 2 forges and both were successful, imo.
The first one I went all the way through with no losses.
The second one I went to final before losing
I was extremely pleased with the rewards.

Round 4 or 5 had one that milled itself out. 4 in one forge, 5 in the other.

That's because you're only in "bronze" or "silver" Forge by the sounds of it.

When you ge into master and the AI is playing with the same decks but with things like the +6/+6 forever instant and Bandit Queens/Maidens etc it's a bit harder and draft is a much better return for gold due to more rares during pick plus chance of 3 x Diamond chests ( 2k gold plus shiny card plus booster pack ).

Forge has it's place as a way for beginners to grind out deck parts due to being able to force it to two colours, but after a while it's just not worth it via the returns in Draft.

The real question is: how to I get the achievement "win 5 forges without losing a game" if I am already in Diamond league for Forge, and currently have only 2 forges without losing a game?

It means that I will have to perfectly beat 1 Diamond Forge and 2 Master Forge... Is it even realistic?

Luck... pretty much the same as the rest of us.

Either that or hope you get the other 3 like me after set 2 comes out.

Do you mean the forge rank will be reset?

Ranked/Draft reset with season end.

DWD have already confirmed Forge/Gauntlet will reset each set release.

Now all we have to do is either wait for Set 2 or if lucky they might reset for Varas' Journey in 1.16

With 150+ hours in the game, I will still occasionally start a Forge when I want to enjoy more relaxed matches. I usually end with 6-7 wins even at Master difficulty so it is not impossible to win and climbing to 7 wins means you have only spent ~1000 gold for 25 cards (usually 2 rares among them) and 3 packs. If you are lucky to upgrade a gold to platinum chest, then you lose no gold at all.

What I have done is concede at the 7th game every time so that I stay in bronze. That means I consisently get 25 card picks plus 2 packs for 1500 gold. I can do 3 of these and end up with 75 card picks and 6 packs for 500 gold less than the price of 1 draft.

^^^ Pretty funny.

Forge is 2.5k even for Bronze. ;)

the problems is 2 forges will give you like 2 rares
while the same cost draft will give you 8+ rares

also forge doesnt give you bonus shift stones
also forge doesnt give you 2 free silver chests
also forge doesnt let you go 0-3 and still leave with a profit
