Skybox - Instead of being inside a box, maybe being in the void of space would be cool.
Power Ups - Having different abilites (whether being pick-ups or being given to the player every 10 or 20 seconds) could add a bit more complexity. For example: Slow/Freeze Bomb (slows/freezes enemy players who are hit by the explosion radius) , Speed Boost (speeds up the player to help with escapes or engaging enemies).
Classes - Having diferent ways to fire, at different speeds and damage intensities, having it be balanced by player size and movement speed (even possibly vibrance/radiance as well). For example: Tank (Big size, high health, slow movement, slow reload, fast bullets, high damage), Gunner (Small size, low health, fast movement, really fast reload, average speed bullets, low damage), and Sprayer ( Medium size, average health, average movement speed, slower than average reload, fires multiple bullets at once in a grid or other random pattern at a slower than average speed, medium damage). This could be in place for power ups, or alternatively have it be chosen at the start of the game and/or before respawning.
