I read that thread already but it explains how to create the .mesh files from .dmesh that you can export from Blender.
You can say I am interested in the reversed process: either converting the final ,mesh file into another format that can be edited in Blender, or being able to edit the final .mesh file itself.
Unfortunately, that topic does not seem to touch upon that :(
So if I don't have a .dmesh file for the related .mesh, I can't do a thing? That sucks :/
How do you work with assets from other mods then? You recreate them from scratch using the base models?
You need to import a model mesh into blender, be it obj or any other model format which you are comfortable to work with, tho I have no knowledge using Blender, I believe it's more or less the same. Align your model mesh as close to the game model bones and prepare your moidel for export using the developer's script, however you should have already rigged the model in Blender in relations to all bodily movements, The script will export a .dmesh whereby you are able to use the edith tool to import .dmesh and export it from within as a .mesh for use in game. It's not too difficult, the key is to import your model into blender, weight the verices accordingly then export,

Its still a WIP but has a lot of features. Try it and tell me what you think.
Awesome! I'll check it out as soon as I'm home - thanks for the tip :)
