Known Issues

Here is the list of known technical issues:

Note:
First of all please confirm your COMPUTER MEETS SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (you can read it under the game's description).
Check if your VIDEO CARD supports OpenGL 3.3 or higher.

VERIFY THAT ALL DRIVERS ARE UP TO DATE.

Also if you run the game on the system with TWO VIDEO CARDS (e.g. on a LAPTOP), please make sure the game is running with the DISCRETE CARD.
Actions to take may differ on the GPU vendor.
The following is an example for Nvidia cards:
a) Open Nvidia Control panel
b) Click "Manage 3D Settings"
c) Select "Program Settings" tab
d) Click "Add" button and then "Browse". Set the destination to the game's executable.


1) The character showing up neither in the menu nor in the game.
A: This is known issue. Still under the investigation.

2) Flickering/broken shadows.
A: The issue is known to occur on some old AMD/ATI cards (like AMD Radeon HD 5750/6970). Still under the investigation.

3) I have two monitors and when I alt-tab back into the game the mouse does not work correctly in the game.
A: Try to move mouse cursor back to the main monitor.

4) Game doesn't start or launcher.exe has stopped working.
A: Try to install update KB2999226 from the Microsoft web site.
If still nothing then reinstall the Visual C++ 2015 x86 Redistributable (you can download it there as well). Restart the system.

5) "Failed to start game (unknown error)" Steam error window.
A: There several things that can cause the error. So try the following:
1) Check the game's integrity. To do that open Steam then right mouse click on Haydee in your librarly list. Click properties. Go to local files tab. Click verify cache integrity of game cache
2) If it's okay then make sure that antivirus is not not blocking the game to run.

6 a) Missing executable.
b) Content file locked.
A: In some cases it could be the antivirus that locks or removes the executable that it is suspecious for it. Most likely this is just a false positive.

Sometimes running the steam client as admininstrator helps.

The "preparing to launch" window appears, but the game never actually starts. It just keeps popping up and closing again, endlessly. The game list says it's "running" for a few seconds but it never appears and it closes quickly. What should I do?

There is a game.log. Its a text file. Post its content.

there is no game.log or game.txt in my Haydee folder.

There is a game.dll though.

What are your system specs? How about the demo. Is it working?

The demo is working perfectly fine, and I was having around 150fps. I'm using a GForce GTX760.

That's a really strange issue. Try reboot.
Also, post you full sustem specs, please. We'll look into this.

Can't seem to be able to change the games windowed mode settings. It always sets itself to a resolution bigger than my screen, but when I change the resolution, it resets itself back into fullscreen mode.

So I just updated my driver and restarted my PC, and now it works. The driver was barely a month old so I don't think that was the cause, so I guess it was the restart?
Anyways, thank you for your effort, I'm sorry to have used your time.

The problem seem to have been the nvidia driver as I update mine and the game launch perfectly fine. I tried the game, it run smoothly, but it is not in my taste.

So yeah for all having the launch problem try updating or downloading the new Geforce launcher.

1) try to install openAL manually from the official site.
2) have you had any sound problems on your system?

Is this full log?

Does it crash or message box?
