To sum it up: The game is built pretty solid. It does what it needs to do, and the price is also quite reasonable for what the dev is offering you. If you're still not sure, just either try the greenlight demo or play the game for an hour or so, then just refund if you think the game is ♥♥♥♥.
Since when is it a crime to ask others if something is good or bad?
gonna unsub now so bye, read the date and time next time.
It has tense moments, it has platforming galore, and truth be told that's a taste that not everyone shares, I'd say try it out you might like it.
1) No map
2) Everything looks the same minus pipe colors
I've gotten lost who knows how many times because the game is nothing but tight corridors and luck on whether or not you took the correct path the first time.
Also the entrance to the red area is way too hidden...
A pretty apt statement right there.
You'll be pleasantly surprised that the puzzles are indeed challenging and the feeling of entrapment and isolation is high on this one, very reminiscent of old school games like Metroid 2 and the Tomb Raider series (orignal trilogy).
I'd highly recommend you DO NOT WATCH walkthroughs and speedruns, because aside from the cheating factor you'll completely miss out on the intention of making you feel lost in a maze (which you are). Many gamers today enjoy being handheld through games, having maps or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ass stupid sparkling twinkle pathways that tell you where to go and what to do. Not in this game, this one goes balls deep into what old school gaming used to be and feel like.
Though admitiedly some of the trial and errors revolve mainly around timing your jumps correctly, which can feel a bit frustrating in some parts.
ALSO! The camera zoom can be changed to your liking by editing the system configuration file so you can have a 3rd person Metal Gear Solid type of game, or even all the way up front to first person, it's quite neat! :D
This game is quite misjudged and underappreciated because of the same stuff you say, but if you play this game as it is meant to you will find to be a hidden gem among much crap and you will also discover that sometimes less is more.
And do keep in mind that the entire game was made by only 4 people, so it's quite an accomplishment for such a small team.
I recommend you check it out and don't use walktroughs. If you are still not satisfied then get your refund ;)
