If you haven't already, you should install the megpack that's posted in a sticky in the modding subforums, it contains a lot of resources that no doubt many newer mods are derived from.
You should have somthing like this Haydee->Outfits->YourModFolderHere
You'll also need to put the corresponding .OUTFIT file into the Outfits folder.
If you did this correctly you should be able to see some new outfits in the character selector menu.
Likewise, if you install the mod's resources but didn't put the .outfit file in the right place, then the outfit won't show up as an option in the outfit menu at all. In the reverse, if you placed the outfit file correctly, but didn't have the resources installed you'll end up with weirdness like you described.
Nah.
Say you downloaded a mod. We'll call it Haydee2. You extract the file onto desktop and it gives a Haydee2 folder and a Haydee2.outfit file. You need to drag and drop the Haydee2 folder and Haydee2.outfit into your Outfits folder.

Megapack should be here.
Though the outfits only came with
.OUTFIT files
suit.mtl
suit_D
Was suit.mtl and suit_d in a folder when you extracted the file?
If so, put them back in that folder, and place that folder into the Outfits directory.
Also, place the .Outfit into the Outfits director too. ( just not in that folder )
MegaMilk
MegaMilk shorts
Android
I tried out Topless and that was the only one that worked, however I didn't like it and got rid of it too
Yeah, the reason some things weren't working is because they were dependant on another mod.
The best way to be sure everything works is to just install all of them, honestly.
But yeah, Everything SHOULD be in it's own folder within the Outfits folder, EXCEPT the .outfit file, which should be just placed in the Outfits folder.
I only want about 3 of them
You'd have to figure out what their dependencies are by cracking open the .outfit file with Notepad++ I think.
In the .outfit file you'll find some code that has references to folder structure that may ( or in your case ) may not be there.
