DirectX 11 questions (on iMac)

Hey, I just bought Empires Apart for PC because I loved it and just couldn't wait to get the game for Mac. My question is if you think I will have some trouble if I use Bootcamp to install Windows on my iMac so I can play the game. Basically I'd like to know if it would be worth it to create the partition just to play it. I already tried using VM's but it did not work I think because of a problem with DirectX, so I thought maybe if I use Bootcamp to natively install Windows it would work... thing is I am not sure if DirectX 11 will work on my 2011 iMac (OS High Sierra) and in that case, what would that mean for the game playability? would it run or not? has anybody tried something like this before? I'd really appreciate your comments.

I can only tell that Bootcamp is always the best way to play Windows games on a Mac.
Regarding your question about DirectX 11, as long your video card is compatible with DirectX 11 and you are running on a Windows 7 (or above), you should have no problem theoretically speaking. But as we have never tested on a Mac, we can never guarantee that it will run.
