Have you finished the demo at least once? If yes, try to do things in a different order :)
If you want to know: from the beginning of the demo, pull the hidden lever in the fireplace and get to the secret room :)

This game seemes designed to be played over and over doing things different each time and in different orders to find the right way. Like my first play through. 10 mins in I found the back door key and I though It was all over when i left but nope I was way wrong! Lol I can't wait for the release.

But to answer your question. Go to the secret room first before you do anything else. Get the fuse and go open the attic. There ya go!

Exactly what I did. Watched the VHS, found the key and rushed towards the backdoor thinking I'm done. hahaha
