Follow the guide exactly and DO NOT PICK UP ANY BULLET for the handgun, for some weird reason if you pick any bullet you can't get the last giggle with this method.
1.Get to the switch in the fireplace, get under the secret passage, get the fuse.
2.Place the fuse in the junction box in the living room.
3.Exit living room, make a right through the molded door, turn left and get the notebook inside the first drawer. Turn back.
3.Get the finger from the drawer just outside the kitchen, go through the kitchen down the hallway, get the bolt cutters, cut the chain, get the tape.
4.Go up the stairs, press the button, go upstairs again, turn right, get the basement key and celluloid object, examine writing on the wall (giggle 1).
5.Get down just before the kitchen, combine finger with celluloid object, point hand at bookcase (murder 1).
6. Turn back, upstairs and upstairs again, look at the boarded wall (giggle 2).
7. Downstairs and downstairs, turn right and go all the way to the basement. Get the lockpick, point hand at the corpse lying down (murder 2) and get valve handle (you won't use it, but need it). Sprint to the back room and get the attic window key, 180 turn and spint back to the door. Kick one of the hanging bodies to the monster and sprint to the door again. Kick it twice to break it. Exit. It doesn't matter if you get infected, you'll still be able to get the dirty coin.
8. Run to the kitchen, use the lockpick on the first drawer, get the hatchet, run back to the hooded lady picture, hit it with the hatchet (giggle 3).
9. Go to the compartment under the stairs and use the hand on the boarded up door (murder 3).
10. Just outside, look at the mirror and do a 180 quickturn (giggle 4).
11. Left, upstairs and upstairs, point at the cables over the bed (murder 4).
12. As you exit examine both the photograph (turn it and examine the writing too), and pick up the phone (on previous versions of the demo, there was a lady on the other side, this must be the connection to the ghost lady seen on the vhs and that's why this works too to get the last giggle).
13. Run downstairs all the way to the basement and look at the doll on the ground, crouch if you have to (giggle 5).
14. Run at the kichen and use the hand on the stew pot. No need to lift the lid (murder 5).
15. Go upstairs and upstairs, turn right, and make a right again to the door next to the initial writing on the wall. It is now covered in blood. Open it.
16. Inside, examine the writing on the chair and pick up the dirty coin (you'll hear a monochannel loud giggle).
17. Exit through the attic window.
18. You're the best ever!
then worked!
You can only try 2 things. Rewatch the video and see the ghost girl OR restart. I had the same issue with the second giggle, nothing would work on my 2nd playthrough and I had to restart it. This issue, I believe was, the lights went out in the basement when I killed the Molded. This has NEVER happened to me before, so not sure why others say it happens all the time.
Sorry, the demo is buggy but I love it so lol.
And yeah the phone isn't ringing in the Midnight version BUT it triggers the last giggle.
*edit*
And before calling people liars, watch the video in my guide or watch the video from Carcinogen (a famous speedrun, maybe you'll trust him more than me...), he's using the phone method to speedrun the demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao6LNwN64QQ
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WATCH THE VHS FOR THE COIN. It's still a valid method of course but it's not the only one :)
