I'VE FOUND THE FIX FOR THE STUTTERING

Ingame I've maxed out everything (including HBAO+ and Reflection ON (not variable), run at 2560x1440, and there is no stuttering (Nvidia User)
- Turn OFF the Vsync
- Open Nvidia controlpanel, set Multi-display = Single display performance mod. And Power Management mode to Prefer Maximum performance.
That's all, I'm using a GTX 980Ti, with these setting I got steady 60fps (with framerate capped at 60) overthe time, no stuttering anymore, and no need to sacrifice the visual quality.

Single Display Performance mode doesn't have anything to do with it as the game runs in DirectX, not OpenGL. Read the description in the nVidia control panel.

i have a better solution which worked to me(also with witcher 3) its a small program called battle encoder shirase.. download the tool, http://mion.faireal.net/BES/, start it then start the game .. in BES click on TARGET, find re7trial.exe and click on limit this.. now click on CONTROL and see what fits best for your computer, i set it around 25% and was able to finish demo without 1 stutter.. :)
