Stuck on Act 6

I still don't really get how I can manipulate the snow on the mountain with my singing. It seems like I kind of can in the part below that, but definitely not here... What am I missing?

Hey im stuck here too....do you mind if I ask how you did it? I tried singing the flag pattern but I'm either doing it wrong or that's not it...

I got over it just by singing and moving to the right. Got it first try, funnily enough.

*dies over and over* Okay so, the actual trick is: You have to be standing on the ledge. If you're too far back, up, or below, the game uses normal wind physics and you die.

But if you're on the tip of the edge and NOT too high up (don't jump too high) then it acts more like a cutscene and carries you over.

XD maaaan don't make me go back and show you like, screen shots or video clips of me failing to believe in myself in a way the game recognizes. I promise I tried and fell off that cliff so many times I started trying to break the game by like, going under the platform and flying up. (It doesn't work. You put invisible death barriers. How could you?)

Okay so here's the actual physics. If you're on the left side of the stalagmite, the "cutscene" won't trigger. And if you're too high up it won't trigger.

The obvious reason this will happen will be: the player will hold the stick up/mouse up and to the right, thinking that the slight up tilt might compensate for the wind (like it does in every other such instance) when infact all you're doing it canceling the "cutscene" physics and activating normal wind physics.

So you need to hold the control stick/mouse dead to the Right. No up tilt. You need to stand near the edge, and you need to do a tiny bunny hop because if you hop WAAAAAY up in the air and the whale follows you and you try to fly up at said height, it will not recognize your location and give you normal air physics.

This strikes me as an easy issue to slip past testing, because as a dev you know what you're "supposed" to do but as a player we think there's some trick, so we don't do the "obvious" thing.

I tried standing at the edge, then sing to the right using numpad 6, and when the wind blow to the right, i tried hoping, which led me to be push to the right and fall. I tried using the momentum of the wind to jump across, still die. I tried to ride the whale, but it would not let me. I considered restart the chapter but in my first play through, every start of the game, it just when straight to the level you last autosave. I considering to delete the save game but I'm afraid it will delete the whole progress and I need to restart from begininng.

I just don't know what to do.

Im playing the game on my laptop though.

Stand on right of stalagmite. Tiny bunny hop onto the whale. Sing to the RIGHT. Do not attempt to sing diagonal, just straight right. Don't stop till you make it or fall off.

This just isn't working. I don't know if it's a bug or what's going on but, i've tried everything suggested. My stupid whale stops in the middle of crossing then moves a bit and falls. EVERY TIME. This is such an unnecessarily frustrating thing to add. I'll have to try again tomorrow if i can't then i'll just have to drop the game.

Been trying for 5 minutes, only after reading others' suggestions here I got across. You do have to stand as close to the edge as possible and jump onto the whale as low as possible (just tap jump button, don't hold it), and immediately hold right. Jumping too high makes the whale go upwards even if you hold right.

You need to walk off than jump, it defies reality, but it works
