Please try uninstalling that update and post if it helps. Maybe TSW can address what is causing this with Microsoft.
So there is something in KB4338819 that is causing this.
Thanks!!!!!!!
Twice now I have had where TSW will just not load. When launched the TrainSimWord and the protype executable just run in the background for a few minutes but the TSW small load launch window never appears and the game never starts. The executables just eventually stop. The only fix is to uninstall a recent MS Update (KB4338819).
In another post I have verified at least one other person impacted by this. I am not sure what in this patch is affecting TSW, but it is.
If others are affected, please post. Hopefully DTG can address this with Microsoft.
We are aware of the problem caused by windows update KB4338819. Issues relating to this update were widely reported to Microsoft who issued update KB4345421 on Tuesday.
At this time we request that you try installing update KB4345421 and let us know if this fixes the problem. If it does not, we shall raise our concerns with Microsoft.
Thankyou.
EDIT= also merged topics as I believe they are directly related.
I did just install KB4345421, but it did not resolve the problem. I am now back to not being able to launch TSW.

Is that what is impacting TSW? I do see a ton of COM activiation errors in the Event Viewer. Hopefully Microsoft can resovle this soon. I keep having to uninstall these updates.
This is the update that fixed the problems caused with the July update:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4343909/windows-10-update-kb4343909
with these updates
my unreal engine crasches during the first loadingscreen i fixed it by uninstalling the updates is there anyone else with this problem?
After the july update I didn't had any issues but after the "fix" is crashes.
