GWR West World Scenario - Red Light woes

I have asked dovetail for support on this issue and still waiting an answer. So I arrive at station well before 1930 to pick up the service on Platform 3. I make my way over to the service and get the train ready and then sit for 15 minutes until time to go. During this time my train has a Green Aspect Signal with Line 1. A train from platform leaves the station at approx 1917 and stops at the Red Aspect signal at end of platform presumably because I have a Green Aspect but my service is not to go until 1930. Then at around 1925 another service attempts to leave from Platform 5 and again stops at platform end due to Red Aspect.

Now I leave at 1930 as scheduled and somewhere around Southall , approx 27 miles before destination I get stopped by a Red Signal that never changes. There is a stopping service on another line also stopped by a Red and another train trying to enter station in opposite direction on a parallel line and is stuck my a red.

On checking the route map there are no other services on my line for a quite some distance and practically every signal is RED.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled game, caught another train to get me to my destination, that one results in the way point at my station being on the tracks and inaccessible lol.

I get the need for realism but skip options would be nice lol.

Any help guys and girls?

That's the typical failure of the scripted signals and trains. Looks like you went "too early" into the train, reserved the route and the other trains were blocked. The other trains at Southall maybe are waiting for the other trains (which should have depart before you but had red) so they block the route.

Another bug is the useless save function which breaks often the signals and it's a still not fixed problem since release of the game around 2 years ago.

when i arrive at Paddington to pick up my train the signal aspect on platform 3 is already green even though there is 15 plus mins to go before im allowed to depart. Arriving at Paddington on a later service that gets me there at 1920 the AI train on Platform 1 is already stuck at his Red and I still have green but cant proceed as when I deboard the service that gone me into paddington my waypoint marker is in the middle of tracks, I jump down and go through it but the task updater does not change. I guess TSW is just plain buggy.

Anyway to complete this scenario??

Hi,

I found this problem after recently returning to the game. I managed to complete the scenario without the red signal deadlock by driving a little bit slower at the start until I'd passed the signal.
