Xbox One controller sensitivity
I have the sensitivity as low as it can go via the in game slider but it's still too hyper. Nearly impossible to put the cursor on train buttons without overshooting 5 times. Is there a ini file somewhere that will allow me to adjust the gain lower?

Have exactly the same problem.

But the problem probably goes deeper than that. When trying my controller in Windows settings (test tab) it also behaves WAY to sensitive, meaning, that you reach max readings on all axis, even when have not physically moved any of the axis to even half.

So now I am searching the web for solutions. This can NOT be some few that are affected. If I find anything I will try to go back here. But all that had this problem: Please advise!

Just reviving an old post.
Any updates on this as I'm in the same boat.
I ordered a xbox 360 controller but couldn't believe how small it was.
My hands are way too big for it.
Strapped it onto a piece of wood so I didn't have to hold on to it.
That help but the movement actions are still way to sensitive even down on setting 1
Must be a way to slow them surely ?

Had the same problem with an old Xbox 360 controller on most PC games that required a precise movement and never found a way to adjust the thumb sticks except to make a bigger dead zone in the games that had those adjustments but alas not available in TSW.

I decided to buy a new controller, not the most economical solution if you already have a reasonably new controller, but I found the Razer Wolverine had a sensitivity button on the rear of the controller that made a dead zone and slowed the movement of the cursor so that clicking buttons and levers in TSW much easier and it has 6 extra buttons. I already had other Razer products as well.
This controller works on Xbox One & PC but the software utility is only really for Xbox One and on PC only allows the remapping of all its buttons and thumb sticks to other Xbox buttons on the controller, no keyboard inputs.
Having said that, the ability to remap the extra 6 buttons on the controller has allowed me to move the horn from the left thumb stick where I was always flipping the reverser out of gear when trying to blow the horn and move the cursor/view options from the right thumb stick to a rear button, a bit easier for me to operate now with the same click or hold action.
The bonus with this style of controller is the 6 extra buttons that can be remapped within games that have that option.

May not be everybody's solution but works for me :steamhappy:

This was just a cheapy I bought as a fill in.
I was eventually intending to get a Raildriver Controller.

Every railman's dream to have a Raildriver controller last I read still not supported :steamsad:

Yeah, thats the main problem, plus the near $500 price tag in NZ

rail driver works in tsw on a select number of locs
it is work in progress
you can find about it in the rail driver topic on top

It "works" but the game doesn't know on which settings the levers are, movement of the levers makes only virtual keypresses. So the levers can get easly out of sync.

As long as DTG doesn't open the control interface for other devices (for example a throttle quadrant would do the job well) there can't be any correct functioning Raildriver support. And I doubt DTG does that (P.I. Engineering asked DTG 3 years ago to help with RD support, P.I. would even program the software, so DTG has nearly no work, but DTG still "ignores" P.I.).
Remember, TSW is from gameplay (arcade stuff and so on), UI and supported control devices more a console port than a train simulator made for PC. And console players don't use "simulator hardware" instead of their gamepad (except steering wheel + pedals for racing games).

Raildriver is the defacto standard for train simulators since around 15 years. A train simulator without RD support is like a flight simulator without yoke / (flight)joystick support.

Yep that's how I see it too.

To be fair it is not all DTG's fault. Raildriver has a very poor interface with Windows it does not show up as a game controller, etc but as "other". So a specialised interface has to be built between RD and TSW, as it was in TS20XX.
In the latter Cobra One on UKTS has removed RD software and implemented his own so that RD works much better in TS20XX.
I agree we definitely need the editor, so that the RD interface can be optimised. BTW no editor in Fishing Sim World either (there is one in DTG FSX) is Unreal 4 a bridge too far for TSW?

I'm giving up on it for now.
Too awkward for an old fart with fat fumbling fingers.
I'll go back to my trucks & car racing.

That's normal that you need "special" software for those input devices and no Windows standard driver. The same with cockpit panels you get for flight simulators, those can't act as a standard game controller.

And, as said often and you can read it on the official P.I. Engineering forum, P.I. wants to write the needed software for TSW but DTG refuses to open the controls in TSW to other devices than Xbox-compatible gamepads and you can't even make your own settings for that gamepad.
