Enableing cold and dark mode based on your level?
I'd like ask about cold and dark mode because it's exciting to get the locomotive up and running from "cold mode" some scenarios or services could defenetly adapt this feature and I thought maybe based on your level would unlock this. The tutorials did talk you through a basic startup procedure but not a complex one. Getting into this sorta stuff would be amazing.

Good idea to make these advanced features selectable.

Advanced start up requires lots of scripting and extra modelling of opening engine compartments, etc. CSX:HH is the best example, but this level of complexity has not been repeated since in the newer DLC. One could also doubt the average console player has the patience to do all this, especially when you have to make up your train too, putting an EOTD on the rear, walking 120 cars back and forth ....

Cold and dark is nice for once, but you wouldn't want to do it for every locomotive in every scenario every time, so a selectable option or automatic start up sequence like virtualRailroads use in their Expert Line of TS2018 DLC.

Ah I see, it's to do with AI stability and an extesive code addition PLUS figureing out how to apply cold and dark and what situation. I had the same question at the tutorials we get a taste of the cold and dark situation but they all come up "pre-heated" or "warmed up" but never cold and dark. I see it as a possiblity, it won't be annoying if you have the option while you are in the scenario or service to switch between cold and dark or standard mode with helper or no helper on the procedure. The russians especially in Train Simulator 2018 are particuraly meticulous about their locomotives, they by default always were cold and dark, some Payware for TS 2018 do come up as advanced mode and by default cold and dark, mainly the DMU's so that would be a good start for TSW as welll but I cannot complain at all right now as there is an extensive objects to interact with as is so cold and dark would be the cherry on top
