Main-Spessart Bahn issues - Banker

So I am unable to complete the 3rd journey from Banker in Main-Spessart Bahn. I have gold in every other journey in chapters 1 and 2 and gold in 5 out of the 7 scenarios in chapter 3 (I've not tried the last two journeys yet because I wanted to do the Banker chapter), so I kind of get the idea of driving trains. Yet I cannot get up in the hill in this scenario. My train manages to get up to around 17 km/h till the 2.1% gradient and then slows down to a halt and starts rolling back, despite having 100% throttle and the banker locomotive attached.

So I've tried various things, like, for example, reversing as far back as I could and then going forward full throttle. This way I manage to get up to around 32 km/h before the 2.1% gradient and I manage to get a bit further, but still the train slows down to a halt and starts rolling back.

I am not quite sure what I am doing wrong. Banking com is on. Is there some trick here, or is the journey simply bugged?

I am not going to go into a tirade how badly this particular DLC has been made when it comes to signals and speed limits. A board saying 10 (100 km/h) but the game believes it's 120 and there are issues like this all over the map. It's just disappointing.

Edit: exact same issue on journey 5 of banker. Unbelievable. Did no one do any QA on this? This was released in February this year!

Not sure what you do wrong. I ran several banking services and they work niicely, provided you turn banking com on. Do not expect to go very fast though. You may want to to watch the devstream on MSB, it is explained in this video quite well.

My apologies. I must have been doing something wrong in the initial sequence because it's going up the hill now.

I have the same problem. I don't know what "banking com" is and can find no such control, because it wasn't explained in the training scenarios. Very poor software QA.
