Charging Brakes Issue for the M7 for LIRR Route
For the tutorial scenarios and servics, I cannot seem to charge the brakes. I followed the on-screen instructions. I press the button and hold it. We are supposed to charge up the brakes up to 90. But, after holdimg the charge button for awhile, the guage meter needle does not move.
I do not know if this is a glitch or I am doing something wrong. I have the brakes at max brake and the reverser is is neutral position. I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you in advance.

I'd suggest having a read though the manual. I've had no issues with the brakes at all, but then I completely ignored the tutorials as usual so it may be a scenario issue.

to charge the breaks, the break/throttle needs to be on "max break"

I just completed the tutorial and had no issues charging the brake

Thanks for your quick reply ! I did have the brake / throttle as max brake. I still could not charge the brakes up to 90. I will read the manual rhoughly ! Obviosuly, i am doing something wrong because no one else is having issues with charging the brakes. Have a good day !

I had the same problem for the first time. I restarted tutorial and did exactly same things again and it worked then. I guess there is some weird bug.

Quite possible there is an intermittent bug...maybe I just got lucky having no issues on the 1st attempt.

I'll be keeping an eye on it as I play through the DLC and report back.

--edit--

I found this in the manual:

Quick Start Guide: LIRR M7 EMU

1. Enter the required Cab
2. Turn the master key to activate the control desk
3. Set the reverser to forwards
4. Set the master controller to the Max Brake setting
5. Hold the Charge Brakes button until the pressure exceeds 130psi
6. Set the lights accordingly
7. Apply power with the master controller

OP: You are saying you have the reverser in the Neutral position before you charge the brakes, according to this, you need to have it in the forward position....is this your issue ?

You said you followed the tutorial, so I would assume it wouldn't let you proceed if you didn't have it set to forward, so maybe that was a typo on your part ?

@Yerolo: I am 100% sure I did same thing both times and it worked only 2nd time. Before I restarted I checked multiple times I have reverser and everything set correctly. Anyway, this is not my only tutorial I ever had issue with charging brakes :D I had similar issues on GWR, where simply brakes did not want to charge for me. I tried everything multiple times having youtube video on 2nd monitor. It worked for guy on video, not for me.

OK, no worries...not that I don't believe you, just offering suggestions and I noticed the OP said he had the reverser in neutral...which would stop the brakes from charging :)

You have to press it multiple times, not just hold it. Reverser Forward, then max brakes, then keep pressing the button. Takes like 7 or 8 clicks.

I have had the same problem, tried restart with no outcome. I suspect it may be because I am using a cordless mouse but is more likely a DTG quality control issue pushing out untested unfinished software for capital gain.

UPDATE:
After a restart scenario worked correctly, typical DTG glitch.
