TSW Northeast Corridor New York - Passenger doors lock/unlock?
Do I have to physically exit the cab to open the doors for the passengers at every stop? I don't see 'unlock/lock doors' anywhere on the instrument panel and nothing is mentioned about unlocking/locking doors in keyboard configuration screen either. Is there a combination of keys I have to press and if so what is combo for unlocking/locking left doors and combo for unlocking/locking right doors? Thank you for all your help.

In the Tutorial they mention to open the doors for the passengers, but they do not have an ICON over a switch in the cab because there is'nt one.
The doors in real life are opened by the Guard or Train Manager.
So within the Tutorial they should make mentiion of "Use the TAB key".

Im sure the game tells you. I use a controller and not only does a icon appear over the switches and handles to use but a pop up window does too showing which controller button and trigger to use. For doors its holding right on the D-Pad. This brings up the door control menu.

Edit: I should've added that there isn't a switch or button on some trains and you have to use the D-pad right or keyboard tab key
The point is Dovetail Games omitted to add that last bit of info that you mentioned. It should have already been in the game's controls menu from the start.
Now everyone is trying to figure out how to lock/unlock the doors. This thread should have never even existed.

Point taken. The first time i struggled with door controls was with the HST, and i looked it up in the options/controls menu, but with the NEC route it actually told me (what I already knew) via a pop up window in the top left corner of the screen. Strange that others never got the pop up window.

I don't like cycling but I still did 4,000 miles last year :cgrazz:

Jesting aside, it could just be that skidhead finds the game disappointing - as many do - and decides to struggle manfully on despite his/her/their overarching opinion.

There was no problem for me with getting a "pop-up window" in the top left corner. It was just that it said to "open the doors for the passengers" but no mention of how to do so.
All that needs to be done by DTG is add: "Press TAB and follow the instructions".
I think I had better go and send them a ticket.
Thanks for the info....It's absolutely ridiculous I just spent half an hour pulling my hair out trying to open the doors!...Why doesn't it tell you about Tab or Long Press Left on the D-Pad anywhere!

So what? Just because we love a simulator and are already familiar with the controls, doesn't mean it isn't very poor of Dovetail not to explain the basic controls for those people new to the game. Having so much playtime in a game doesn't mean we can't point to faults in the game.

Tutorials should have mentioned the TAB menu to open doors for EVERY TRAIN that relies on those controls, which, if I'm not mistaken, are the Class 25, Class 09, Class 43, and the ACS-64.

The TAB menu also works for the BR1442 and the Class 166, but those do have in-cab buttons so don't necessarily rely on the TAB menu.
