TSW: Rapid Transit Known Issues Thread
Thank you to everyone who has been providing feedback regarding issues present with, or introduced by, Rapid Transit. So far we have spent a lot of time investigating and working on your reports and are in the process of developing an update to address the issues being reported.

We are currently investigating and working to resolve the following issues:
  • When passing a speed reduction to reduce speed to below 80km/h, there is no PZB 1000hz influence
  • The HUD does not show a flashing indication on the 85 PZB indicator, the in-cab one flashes correctly and the restrictive monitoring state is engaged correctly, it just doesn't show on the HUD.
  • Pantograph does not react to the correct height of the overhead line in the city tunnels
  • City Tunnel walls do not have collision so the player is able to walk through them and fall through the world.
  • Some signal aspects show a flashing green if the player is approaching a speed reduction even if they don't have a Zs3v indicator attached.
  • Pressing 8 for the free camera while in the city tunnels starts the camera outside of the tunnel boundaries and the player can't fly it back in.
  • Issues with trying to board through passenger doors where the player appears blocked
  • If the player starts a service and completes its first load/unload instruction before its scheduled start time, the UI can get stuck on the expectation to wait for departure time.
  • If the player walks around in the passenger interior while the train is moving, steps in the direction of movement may not be as easy to climb.
  • Unable to operate fuses on the 166 so safety systems are unable to be enabled. Affects EASTBOUND services primarily as it’s the DMOCL(B) that is affected.
  • The headlights on the 166 no longer light up the track and only the marker lights are lit. Same in day and night mode.
  • Occasional white screen flashes when in underground stations.
  • Snow effects occur when in the tunnel.
  • Rain effects don’t go all the way down the windows on the outside of the Talent 2.
  • Platform stop markers on the track don’t render when the player is in the tunnels.
  • GWE: Aggregate industries: Unable to uncouple locos
  • Modelling issues with certain junctions
  • Player is transported to the roof of the Talent 2 and is unable to move without restarting.
  • At certain stations the player falls into the gap between the train and the platform when trying to board.
  • The seats on-board the Talent 2 move physical location and can result in undesired positions either penetrating the exterior or stacked in odd positions.
Please note that the above list only details the planned content for our first update and there are a number of other issues that have been reported that require additional time and investigation. This does not mean that they are not actively being worked on, just that they will not be included in our first update.

Please continue to report any issues that you are experiencing, this will allow us to thoroughly investigate and collate your feedback with a view to providing a fix as soon as possible. We will be here reading everything even if we can’t reply to everyone!

I like it grey and raining to stop annoying cab lighting effects but I can hear rain hitting the train In Paddington even though the drops dont start until leaving the station, then the rain hitting the train sound stops temporarily and correctly as you pass under the first bridge. Then bearing in mind its grey and raining, overcast 100% with no sunshine there's a major reflection lighting up the cab. See below. The reflection is from a light source behind my head or in the roof- lights are off and no light behind me (trust me I looked for the light source!).

Couple of questions:

  • What about the sound? Door sound is fine (loud enough), but all other sounds are pretty low (can be fixed through the .ini partially)
  • I can partially or at least with a very low volume hear some announcements, can you tell is which ones are available, are they random? can we increase the volume of those?
  • Anti Aliasing seems messed up when when the train stands still, during motion all seems fine
  • Is it planned to have voice files for next station, boarding the train, etc.?
  • Is it planned to have active displays on the train with final destination/next stop and/or on the platform?
  • Is it planned to have a ebula system on the display in the train?

Hello, not really a bug but a minor asset issue which can be easily fixed - the top wire on the headspans should start at the top of the metal pole rather than a little lower as pictured:

Also, was ich hier bei DTG nicht verstehe, und das muss mir mal jemand von dieser Firma erklären, man bringt ein neues DLC auf den Markt, das eigentlich nicht funktioniert, und dann schreibt ma, ja wir wissen das, und wir werden bis 2030 das Problem Lösen.
Für wie Deppat hält und dieser ... ist ja ungeheuerlich was die hier aufführen.
Mir ist es egal, werde sicher nichts mehr Kaufen, solange das Core so schlecht ist.
Der Ansatz war gut, aber alles andere ist eine Frechheit.
Und die ganzen Ausreden, eine neue Engine - UE4, müssen noch lernen, Schwachsimnn.
Das muss man vorher schon im Griff haben, und Testen, oder nicht??
Schade, hätte ein wirklich gutes Produkt werden können.
Leider nicht im Moment.

Passing Leipzig MDR station the signal triggers 2000hz magnet yet it shows green during some services.

1° nell'ultimo scenario di questo dlc a ''messe'' ti dice che le porte non sono aperte quando è il contrario.
2° il treno va più veloce di 160Km/h.
3° nella stazione prima di bitterfeld verso dessau sulla rampa c'é un muro invisibile.
suggerisco di aggiungere più scenari (se si può), mettere nuove livree, allungare la linea e creare la stazione di leipzig hauptbahnhof (classica).
mentre nel great western express potreste aggiungere la class 800
e magari una linea italiana.

Can confim this, but i think that just the " stop" is set incorrectly and that it should be 1-2km before the incorrect stop. You´ll notice that you pass shortly before the empty hold a station. Which i think is the actual station you should hold.


There´s another bug. When driving from station MDR to (i guess its) Connewitz, power supply is missing for apprx. half a kilometer, so you have to roll through this empty spot and first afterwards you can accalerate again.

Actually it is the correct spot since the station did load properly in other occasions, the one before is Marke station and some services don’t stop there. This one already showed a few times and I even got the collectables. Seems very similar to the disappearing tracks in GWE. And until now only this station showed this behavior.

EDIT: Another bug I experienced is: When you take a service e drive all the way to the end and then reverse cabs for return trip, the doors dont work anymore, neither in-cab controls or the Tab key. They do open individually in external view. Is kinda annoying that I can't do the return trip because of bugged doors. This happens in Rapid Transit on the return trip of any service when you switch cabs.

How about GWE bugs like
1) loading a save breaks signaling
2) flashing yellow signals not working
3) interior sounds occasionally breaks when switching between interior and exterior cameras ?

Are these even in the game? I have actually never seen one. I remember how I was really surprised when I got single yellow with feather after green signal.

One of the DTG representatives confirmed they are supposed to be in the game but aren't working for some reason. Sadly I can't remember in which thread that was mentioned. I presume that the reason they're not in the next patch is because DTG have found it's not that simple to fix the issue.
