Why do the railroad crossing gates stay down before and after the train passes?
Kinda a stupid question but why don’t they go up like they used to in CSX HH?

Wait, they actually work and go up and down in Heavy Haul?

In heavy haul they work but the other routes they just stay down

There was a discussion about this on the Discord server. The problem is that the railroad crossings on Sand Patch Grade are very inefficient. The developers have to come up with a better solution.

How were the crossings inefficient on Sand Patch Grade? I like it when they go up and down. I did email Dove Tail and the said the crossing being down all the time on the other routes were by design.

Inefficient means it takes too many resources from your computer to run it that can be better used for something else.

you would think then that the huge bridge that moves up and down at Tees Valley Line
takes a lot resources too then
bur i never noticed any lag there but then it moves very slowly
