That's kind of a shame, i figured that I would already have those other packs automatically installed on as soon as TSW left early access (if it was even in early access)
Another question, if I decide to buy that bundle that you linked, does it make a seperate desktop icon (so I would have to launch Heavy Haul and TSW seperatly) does it create only one other icon for TSW itself, or does it all make seperate icons for GWE and Rapid Transet?
Since then they release more routes that you would have to buy in order to play them.
Now they repackaged TSW that it does contain more of the routes for new buyers. In your case, you still need to buy the new routes if you want to play them.
If you buy GWE or Rapid Transit, they will all go into your current installation of TSW, so you will only have one icon for all of it. You choose the route you want to drive on inside the game itself.
Thought EA released half the content with DLCs but DTG releases ALL content through DLCs.
Jeez
TS and TSW are just like a model railway. DTG creates things you CAN buy if you WANT it.
You don't need to buy everything, some don't buy anything.
You can't really compare EA games to these kind of simulators. And DLC like this is nothing new in the world of simulators, where it's quite normal to buy DLC to expand on the simulation it self. Just take a look at FSX and all the DLCs that have been release throughout it's 12 years lifespan.
Creating an entire world of railways as detailed as you will find Train Simulator and TSW, would be close to impossible or rather expensive and time consuming, so instead smaller and cheaper routes are created and that results in a lot of DLCs.
Lucky for us customers, we are not required to buy all of the DLCs to enjoy the simulators, but can buy only those DLCs that we find interesting. It's really not that complicated.
You are not buying all the games on Steam either.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW WHAT A CLEARLY STRAIGHT LINE OF THINKING
Okay let me analyze your claim, okay?
You claim that a game that has DLC, is incomplete? "EA released half the content WITH DLC"? okay, then that means a game from EA is "incomplete", you alse claim that EA being just a publisher is a company employing a bunch of marketists criminals for not selling "complete game"? okay, and now you say that "DTG is worse than EA" because, a game that has DLC as part of its life time is incomplete?
THEN TELL ME ONE THING: What is a full content game for you? Is TSW ever going to be a game with 100% content? Sorry but if that is your claim, I'm afraid there is a lot of work to do to cover the entire railways in the entire world.
You know, we have a saying in my country: "Rotate your tongue 7 times in your mouth before speaking" that means THINK before speaking, because what you say clearly depicts that you are not using your brain, pal'.
I would have explained it this way: There was a base game made of CSX, then changed their base game with 3, initially DLC, now the base game includes CSX with the 3 content. In the end,
the price only slightly raised up, because now, the PC version includes 4 content, but for the price of one and a half.
Agreed. Happened to me the exact same thing, I bought thinking I would get at least the base game with the 3 locos and routes it shows ON THE SCREEN and surprise, surprise, only 'CSX Edition'. No doubt, DTG is worse than EA.
@Mark Falken.
If you bought TSW 2020 you should have 5 routes as I have.
1. CSX heavy Haul. (US)
2. Main Spessart Bahn. (German)
3. Northern Trans Pennine. (UK)
4. LOng Island RR. (US)
5. Great Western Express. (UK)
On the TSW Main Menu do you only have one route picture showing?
If so there will be an arrow to the side of it. Click that and the other routes should show.
Hope this helps.
Thats exactly what I thought, but no, I had only one route showing, I bought a dlc to see how it should appear, and it appeared next to CSX Heavy Haul, so yeah, it only included CSX.
