Jacob's Ladder, Great Western Express
I was checking out the Great Western Express and looking at the section of the route around Ealing.

I can forgive some glaring differences in the recreated area when compared to the real world but I found it hard to believe that the Jacob's Ladder at West Ealing looks nothing like the real one.

We are talking about an iconic and famous landmark foot bridge. Just do an Internet search on Jacob's Ladder, West Ealing' and you will see what I mean. It is difficult to find out when it was built but it has existed over the GWR line since, possibly the first world war if not before.

It is fondly remembered by so many people over the years and served as an excellent location for train spotting for many generations. It is a landmark of Ealing as much as anything else, yet it's recreation in TSW is some generic modern object that bears no architectural relevance to this famous GWR footbridge.

Those who have no connection to the area will most likely not understand what I am saying and just dismiss my post but others will be able to see where I am coming from.

Maybe I am spoiled from seeing the attention to detail in certain fligh simulator scenery DLCs or maybe I expected too much to think that Train Sim 'World' would raise the bar for train simulators.

There are many things to like about the GWR route but little things like this ruin the immersion.

Part of the appeal of the TSW GWR route is that it recreates the GWR route and it's wonderful architectural history such as the Wharncliffe Viaduct and this footbridge, otherwise we might as well buy generic routes.

It would be nice to see more attention to detail in future routes.

I can imagine there's plenty of other unique structure along the route that people would consider ionic and important. But when you have a limited amount of months to produce a DLC you kinda have to accept that not everything is going to make it into the game.

And from the perspective of an Environment Artist, making a bridge like that could easily become one to two days of work. And that's a lot of time and money you'd rather invest in something more recognizable :)

Maybe once the tools are out, we can get together a little team of modders to add in some of the stuff that's missing? Sounds like a fun project
