GWR issue: Service 2R17 0812 London Paddington - Reading

[Porginator]

Selecting this service from the main menu I get as far as Slough and get stuck at a red signal.

Also noticed I cant do back to back services from selecting a service from main menu or free roam without a train getting stuck at a signal red or green. Anyone else have similar issues?

It´s not fixed and occurs on several routes.

Ive noticed also on back to back runs you start loosing MR air pressure too.

This happened to me on the Somerset line, I have heard it sometimes occurs if you have saved and come back to the route. This is what happened to me in this instance.

Even when I start the service from the beginning it still happens.

For me a way around this I've found is to start at Slough in free roam 5 mins before the train is due to arrive (0840), take over and finish the rest of the route. This shows as completing the service when you go back into service mode. Not sure if this gets recognised for achievements, but perhaps something worth doing for other routes too.

You can usually avoid perma-red signals by playing a service through in 1 go. You can save as often as you like but the more you save and the more you load saves, the risk of a perma--red signal increases.

Bad luck.
I had a very similar issue with an RT service. Also didn't reloaded first but there was an AI train stuck at a station. No way to continue but restarting the service did the trick. This issue is rare but I think it increases by reloading a saved game.
