6:45 from Reading service mode, there is only one service with 07:19 arrival in Paddington.
Well that’s funny because I managed to complete all the scenarios and have about 10 services left so worked fine for me so can’t be the sim
Have you even read the thread?
The problem is that the signalling system is scripted and depends not only on the position of trains, but on current time/other AI trains. When not passing a signal at the determinated timeframe it will become red and will never become green again, which makes it impossible to move with a train after getting in this issue. These timeframes vary and sometimes you have to be over 30 mins late to experience the bug. It can happen on nearly every mode/map/train, as they all have the same signalling system. Only when having no AI in front of you/crossing your direction, the signal stays green until you pass it. But if someone claims the track in front of you, switches change and your signal gets red. However there is nothing implemented which sets the switch/signal back for you (because its scripted static).
So: If you managed to play all services without experiencing the bug, I guess you played all services nearly in time. However if you e.g. start getting all the collectables, you will lose too much time and this could end in trouble.
As I said the timeframe varies. So what do you want to tell me? If you think the bug does not exist, do just as an example the following:
Start the Class 47 12:30 Minehead service. Arrive about 5-10 minutes too late at Blue Anchor.
Track until Williton is clear and the other Class47 waits in Williton for your arrival and has a red signal too. The Junction in front of you is adjusted against your direction, because of the script that changes the direction for the other Class 47.
And as you may see, I am not alone experiencing the bug:
It is obviously a game error, as the way signals get set is part of the game and causes the bug. The script for the switch and the script for the signal are working unattached, this causes something called not satisfied Mutual Exclusion ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_exclusion ). So you run into a deadlock. The red signal waits for the switch to get set in your direction, the switch waits for the passing of the opposit train and the train has the red signal because of myself in front of him.
Come to Germany (instead of trolling around) and travel with our "Deutsche Bahn" (DB) then you know that late trains are usual. And we don't speak about 2 minutes.
I was on a freight loco some years ago for one day (friend is loco driver) and we had to take an indirect route (50 km more with more stops to get passed by passenger trains) due to a broken power line. Good thing we weren't on a time shedule (we were over 1.5h late on the yard), the wagons at the yard were pressurized and ready checked, we could soon drive back after usual brake test.
If it was a game error we would ALL experience it the fact we don’t proved otherwise
Are you here to help other players or just to put them down!!
It makes sad reading of your posts and attacks on others trying to understand bugs in the game.
If you represent the TSW community then we are in trouble.
WRONG!!!!!
You have no idea what you are talking about.
And all the experience from my years working in database development (coding) and IT backs me up.
What is your professional experience in programming?
