hi, max speed limit 25 miles per hour is why? It is also in real railway ? It is vey slow speed, also for passenger train.

I hear your pain and here the best explanation I can offer without being close to the actual decision. Its a heritage railway, run by enthusiasts in a country known for its Health and Safety laws. I know because I live in it, and pretty close to that railway too. Its fairly common here for this kind of thing. Yes its slow, but I guess the powers that direct this kind of thing with their clipboards have determined that is the speed where if something does go wrong like a derailment or something, then its the best trade off against a stupidly low speed limit.

For those who are deciding whether to get it or not- this is for you.

Yes, get it. Its unlike anything Ive come across yet in TSW. The route is beautifully rendered, the locomotives drive correctly (see the thread on traction for an update) and to keep it brief, its just a stunning product for the price.
In case you think Im some kind of plugger for it- just check out my post history. I'll call a spade a spade and if I think something needs to be called out and highlighted I will. In this case Im being just as vocal about something that I think is very very good. The changes that have been made here are coming to the other DLC at some point and having had a play with it I cannot wait. Its going to completely alter the feel of the GWR which I have, and also the CSX stuff, and once it does its TS2018 that I'll be un-installing. Now that felt good to say ;)

Well done devs, outstanding work.

Hi Galmar, yes the real railway only has a maximum speed limit of 25mph.
TinMan1987 May 24, 2018 @ 2:11pm
great heritage railway line and hope you bring out some black 5s or j95s

After some rides on the route I must say landscape is beautiful. Vegetation, rural environment, heritage railway taste is charming and locomotive/coaches models are really nice. It is a route to relax I would say, as the speed is really slow but you still take more than 1 hour to run it. But I must also rise some minor issues I found when I took the 10:15h service as passenger for a first look and drove the first scenario for class 47 and the tutorials. My comments may not be complete then as I just played for short time (apologizes for that):

- Services stop with rear coaches out of platforms in some stations, while there´s still room on the front for a proper stop.
- Something extrange happens to last coaches doors (kind of LOD switching issue), as doors appear to be open when zooming out, but are indeed closed when zooming in.
- I didn´t manage to see any smoke comming out of class 47, even at full power.
- Ballast texture is also strange, as it looks as a pile of multi-layered stones while in close view instead of complete single stones.
- Class 47 low horn loop suddenly stops after releasing it. This is horrible. Well that horn itself... It could be improved, as the sound is quite unnatural. I hope horns in general get improved in the future. Most of them sound unreal in my opinion (no reverb, same static sound sample, etc)
- Turntable wheels don´t spin while it turns.
- We lack a free scenario or service to play around with the assets (or I didn´t see it yet maybe)
- I don´t know what happened to target markers, but on the class 47 scenario there were always two of them active (one at front with next objetive and one at rear with whatever the purpose). Distance to next target was not displayed on the HUD (probably due to that issue). I never play with them active anyway, so I found it by mistake.

Now some really peeky comments :steamhappy::
- Boat museum: well I think this challenges the laws of physics. Is water at the docks and the boats above sea level?
- You can´t get inside any of the workshops/sheds in the stations. Please let us open the doors and get inside to repair our rollingstock and enjoy a nicely done interior...

The lines above are really minor issues. As I said, the decoration and the rollingstock are great. I see lot of potential for other routes where you could enjoy beautiful landscapes and classic railways. Problem is that due to the kind of layout there´s not so much to do as someone could do on a mainline scenario. But I must say I liked so far. Nice job!

Cheers

I can't pass station where I must wait for another train - when I see train, the game is not responding, I can't understand why - loading of hardware is usual.
Also If I save the game and load it after crash, and second train will pass normally, the semaphore will "yellow", and next will be closed forever, and I can't ride on.
Are these bugs normal for this game?

The DLC is probably the best DLC so far for TSW! Very beautiful route and locos (trains)!!!! THANK YOU!!! There may be some bugs like signal lights not showing either green or red ... Excellent DLC and pretty good performance! There are some minor stutters sometimes but it has been much much better since the spring update!!!!

Thank you for the game and the DLCs!!!

Nice looking route, great looking locomotive models, sounds are lacking or just don't sound right, also progress on the route for me at least is not saving so everytime I load up TSW and click to go into WSR it automatically loads up the Introduction to the Class 47 tutorial.

OK, having had a couple of goes and it does seem much improved.

I would like to see some more atmosphere into the route. It would be nice to see some extra clutter around. Lets say for example the route is doing a Gala day. It could be that things like people who are actually visiting the line rather than the default commuters e.g. familys. Maybe you have things like visiting attractions to the area like a traction engine.. People on the beach, maybe things like hanging baskets of flower boxes on platforms and so on.... it just needs some more life.

Lovely and smooth this route though.

I have reported an issue to DTG this morning.

Great job unfortunally passengers waiting at stations with 2 platforms are looking away from the tracks and do not get on the train, apart from this its seems just fine.
Nice DLC very pleasant to play. But I still believe that if you want to develop the number of payers and so customers it is essential to release soon the EDITOR.
Do you have any news about it?
regards
togmann May 26, 2018 @ 12:15am
This route was very nice. But I wish you could choose part strings to run like on TS 20xx.
geloxo May 26, 2018 @ 4:34am
I don´t think editor solves the problem of loosing customers. TSW has to atract the TS201x players here. Until TSW turns to be equivalent in features and increases its content I guess not so many of them will switch to TSW. Game engine improvement is clearly achieved. Now they need to convince those players that they will enjoy the experience or find new features they currently don´t have in the old platform.

I bet for TSW but this is not going to be a fast move if we look at statistics one year after its release. Open 3rd party market will help more as more content will come out to the scene and more frequently than now. But on the other hand till baseline is not 100% solid the risk is to propagate the bugs to more DLCs and make it more expensive to solve them therefore. Numbers (money) will lead the future of game: either they bet to preserve customers or they wait to consolidate product to gain new ones in future.

Cheers

OK but I know a lot of people who bought TSW, and unistalled it after a while to go back to TS.
TS is not free of bugs, but he has an Editor.
I believe That DTG has to communicate about the Editor, to show they have it still in mind.

Sure. I want the editor too. I think the playability is very limited without it. Hope to read some news about it soon as well.

Cheers
