TSW Rapid Transit: impossible to reach time targets at stops
I have a W10-64bit, i7, 8Gb RAM, NVIDIA 4GB machine. Even so, it is impossible to accomplish the time targets at the several stops, even when travelling at maximum train speed and exceeding all the markers allowed speed, with any train model. Very disappointing!
Can someone tell me what is the secret? Or is there some issue with the algorithms involving power/time/speed/distance?

Never had a problem in RT to keep the schedule with keeping the track speed, mostly i have to wait at the stations because i am to early. Precice braking and a good knowledge of train will help to keep the schedules.

I agree with Nickhawk, not a problem here to, more practice is needed

this happens to me too

How I do after watching youtbe videos of people driving the real thing, when departing stations with a speed limit above 60km/h, use full throttle, don't be afraid of it

also use full throttle inside the tunnel as the timetable is really tight in there

about the brakes, I've seen the real drivers only break when they really need to, that means knowing how much distance the train needs to brake, start braking when you're close enough to the station and apply more brakes as you get closer, when closer or inside the station, use max break to bring the train close to a stop and when the train is at 2km/h set the throttle back to idle as then the train will stop by itself, and because when the doors open the train will apply brakes, so no need to use the brakes manually

Also, this is one of the differences between diesel and electric trains, with diesel you have to be careful with the throttle or you'll stall the engine, but with electric you can just set the throttle to full as an electric engimes is powerful enough to accelerate at that setting

Yes it's all practice and route knowledge, i am know at a point where i can make a brake from 160kmh (at the high speed part) around 950m before the stop with around 90-80% applied brake and stop exactly where i should :-)
If you have to release the brake until the stop you are breaking to early ;-)
