Throttle/regulator controls
Recently I have looked at lot of real train cab pictures and videos but I canot see the accelerate/ decelerate keys (buttons). How do the real drivers controll the speed? Sureley they dont have to rely on the analogue levers I can see, do they? I am glad that Train Simulator and Train Sim World do not have this problem and provide the A & D keys or buttons on the controller.

No, they have a secret control panel that is never shown in the videos. The levers and gauges and whatnot are just to fool the outsiders. It's all very hush-hush, not public knowledge, you see.

Analogue levers are allways better then digital keys, you can react way faster and precice with them. Instead of pressing a key several times or holding it till the throttle goes from 100% to zero you just put the lever down.

That is why cars have analogue steeringwheels and not just A and D key to steer the car. ;-)

And the throttle in real planes is if you believe it or not also managed with analogue levers. :-D

I was being sacastic as Dovetail seem to have screwed the controls in TSW as they did in Flightsim world.

How did they screw-up the controls in FSW? Just wondering since I am taking flying lessons in RL and flying in FSW (as well as P3D and FSX) and have not noticed any glaring deficiencies in the flight controls... but since this is a TSW forum, probably not the place to discuss.

A real flight simmer uses a flightstick and not a keyboard or gamepad, so it's up to you not screw up the controls. ;-)
Sadly TSW don't support the raildriver controls but maybe it will some day.

Guess my over 4000 hours in TS with keyboard and mouse controls has been all wrong then :-). Sorry if I don't see not supporting raildriver as a show stopper, Should they support it for those who want it - sure -- is it a show stopper for the many of us who don't use them -- of course not.

I am sure raildriver and TrackIR will come along in the future...
