Lose of all power and can not move train - After stop.
Hello, I have the same issue described in the BR Class 31 Hotfix Notes where I lose all train amps, can't reset train. But this happens on others as well not just the BR class..

This happens randomly,.. I can do a journey and it will be a 50-50 chance to complete with out this happening. I have many Hrs on TS2020 so I think understand the workings of the game, I think its a bug.

Nothing worse then driving to 10 stops and two from the end your train loses all power.. Kind of a game killer if you ask me.

Any advise would be appreciated

Did you switch the throttle to off? I dot own the Class31 but generally you need to set the throttle in the off or idle position, otherwise no power will be applied.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply, yes i did that. I in fact did the steps to reset PCS. Even though the light PCS open didn't come on.

1. Set the Throttle to Idle
2. Set the Reverser to Neutral
3. Set the Independent Brake to Full Application.
4. Set the Automatic Brake to Full Service
5. Wait for 60 seconds
6. Release the Automatic Brake and wait for the Equalizing Reservoir / Brake Pipe to
return to 90 psi

No Joy,

In fact after I made this post I did a trip on the San Francisco. Route, Left Terminal, drove perfectly to the 1st station,. Got to speed,. Turn throttle to idle, added 20psi blp lap. slowed to 15mph, released break put set Throttle to 1 to control speed,. train slowed,. set Throttle 3 - no amps, no power costed to a stop..????

Train is dead cant do anything.. I can roll backwards down the grade,. I can set breaks.. open doors,. just no power.

Stand up from the driver's seat and sit again.
That seems to fix some weird issues.

Try applying full brake application after coming to a stop on both train and loco brake, and then release.

Yep tried both, now, since that last patch every journey I have tried so far has failed with non responsive train Throttle.

Just tried different route. drove train normal,. I would almost dare say perfectly. Slowed down for first station stopped 5 yards short of target, I was not close enough at 5 yards to trigger completion throttled up to move that 5 yards.. No joy, No Amps, I didn't try to Throttle while break was on and I did not cause a PSC open state..

This now has happened on 3 different loco types and I will also say this was not this bad prior to the HOTFIX that put out last week..

I had this issue only on San Fran route now it seems to be happening on all,. Very disappointed :(

Same here.

Just ran service on San Fran and do not have the problem you describe - Powered up and down no problem -- ran to a station - stopped short - released the brakes and powered back up again worked as expected -- So whatever is causing the problem you described isn't universal.

Only time i experience anything close to what is described is usually my fault on German loco's where I have applied the brakes with power on. This case is to make sure you bring the throttle to off after releasing the brakes before powering back up.

Since they made a dedicated patch to fix this very issue on another engine type, kind of tells me there is a issue in the game.. I have tried all the reset keys and options.. I am very aware of the PSC open state that will happen with power while braking, As posted above I have done all the steps to reset.. I wish this was the problem but it is not.

Thanks for replying though..

All I can comment on is the fact your problem described on the San Fran route wasn’t apparent on my San Fran route thus it is n’t a universal problem affecting all installations. Hope you get it sorted because these types of problems where some experience them and others do not can be tricky to identify the root cause.

Best

Thing is, it was only random until the patch.. now I can't complete any of them, its the strangest thing. I even tried again,. making sure I didn't throttle while breaking. Making sure I didn't try to move until all doors were closed. Driving along and then its like someone reached over and turned off the power -0- AMPS.

It acts just like it would if you threw the emergancy break and you have to reset.. but,. I didn't and i tried the reset steps as well.. Side note.. I can move Freight like a boss,. never have any issues there.

That is strange — I know this must be frustrations for you. Just as an aside — have you tried to valid your files? Could be a long shot, but validation has overcome some weirdness in my installation of TS2020 in the past.. since this is sporadic in your cause — couldn’t hurt.
