LIRR Gameplay
The LIRR or The Long Island Railroad is a commuter railroad in North America that runs out of New York's Penn Station and Brooklyn's Atlantic Terminal into Long Island. It has 8 major branches and 124 station in each town. The LIRR is significant in many ways, It's the busiest commuter railroad in North America and is one of the few railroads in the world to run 24/7 service to all of its stations. The LIRR's weekly ridership is about 330,000 people and mostly manages to provide on time service. They use electric and diesel service, The electric service makes up most of the railroad but it terminates farther east of the Island where the deisel sevice takes over. Today the LIRR uses two types of electric trains, the M3 made my the Budd Company and the M7 made by Bombardier. The LIRR are going to retire their M3's soon because of their age, but the LIRR will take delivery soon of the new electric fleet set to start delivery soon. The new fleet are the M9's made by Kawasaki which also made the Deisel locomotives and C3 double decker cars.
It would be incredible to see the LIRR in TSW because of how big and realistic the routes would be. To have all the trains and all eight branches on TSW would make a breakthrough of any simulator. To be able to coast through the beautiful beaches of the Hamptons and drive through rural and urban towns, a combination of this would make the most ultimate addition to TSW. I would really look forward to seeing this.
