Train length?
Hello! I just bought this game, because of Great Western Express.
I'm currently driving the AC4400CW, where I can use the function "distant setup", so that I can count up or down the length of the train.

The problem is that I don't know the length of the train I'm driving, and I don't know where I can find this info.

Is there a hidden info menu or something I can access where I can get this info?

I would really like to know the length of the train, so that I can play without any HUD.

I appreciate all the help I can get!

You may find some information here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5xmS3GoYKV1RHc2Y3UtQ3VQN28/view This an excellent 3rd party manual by Rudolf Jan.
There is no easy way. Some locomotives have a train length display. But I do not think there is an easy way to determine this.

You need to count the number of wagons and then make your estimate. Until now I did not figure out how the train length function works. To me it looks very buggy, but who knows?

Start the counter at a signal or other landmark, stop the counter after the last wagon passed, voila your train length ;-)

On a real train this information would be given to the crew along with the total weight of the train in Tons. I've asked for this to be added as it is something any crew should know.
