He just said. When you have to run a modern game at lower res just to get acceptable framerates when you clearly have recommended specs, then you failed.
Reading comprehension is fundamental.
Oh, snap!
Come on man. Keep it polite.
Why is 30 FPS unacceptible. It's faster than the human eye can detect, and isn't it the general standared for theaters?
My TSW is on my SSD. Surely that makes a difference.
The game is three days out. Give it some time. I got into Railworks when it was first released, and it has come a long way through the years. So will TSW.
How much time should we give it? Until we can't ask for a refund..?
You mean, don't buy the game? Simple.
My thoughts exactly. I'm averaging 30 to mid 30's while playing and it works fine.. It's a fourty dollar game people.
I waited until the game was released and I could read customer feedback.
In light of the reviews, etc. I went ahead and purchased TSW and to be honest so far, I am happy running it maxed out at 1080p (or higer) with no issues (i5-6600K and GTX970). It is not perfect but quite acceptable.
I have not even bothered to check my FPS because this is a train simulator and not a FPS shooter!! I have not checked my FPS because I am getting smooth gameplay.
With the developers promising to improve it over time I am content.
I just wonder how many moaning here were in 'bursting bladder' mode and instead of waiting to find out the initial reactions, etc. by customers, they had to spend daddy's money because it was burning a hole in their pocket. And now we have to put up with their crying on the forums.
I get smooth gameplay for this train simulator (this is not a FPS shooter), maxed out at 1080p or higher and as long as I get smooth gameplay I am not going the waste my time worrying about FPS. Even on my old i5-6600K, 16GB RAM, HD and GTX970 I find it quite acceptable.
TSW is a Simulator!!. TSW is being sold as a 'Simulator' more then a 'Game'. The term 'Simulator' is plastered all over the front page.
Getting 25-30 FPS In all my other simulators like PrePar3D, X-Plane 10/11, Run8, Steel Beasts Pro PE is considered good and quite acceptable by the vast majority of simulator nerds.
I fail to understand why TSW needs to operate at 60 FPS or whatever. Even in X-Plane 11 or PrePar3D (with ORBX) with low-flying aircraft traveling at high speed over the terrain, I find that 30-35 FPS updates the screen quite well and that plane's speed is 4-5 times that of a train in TSW.
Yes, it would be nice, but because of the nature of the simulator (not game) it does not need 60 FPS to perform smoothly. It may need refinements in other areas of the graphics like texture resolutions, LODs, tree details or the low detail on cars and house but it does not need 60 FPS as it's first priority.
I spent my own money, cupcake.
Shock News: People expect something to be working when it gets released! Otherwise, what's the point of Beta testing?
Grow up. And if you don't want to hear people being annoyed at getting ripped off (again) then you know what to do, don't you, oh wise one?
~Quit reading the stuff that get's you fanbois so butthurt~
So it does not work?
It may be unoptimized and have some bugs but that is not the same as 'People expect something to be working'.
There is a subtle but major difference between the facts and your description, Cupcake.
Less of the 'Alternative facts', please.
