How does the Sand work?
Hi :)

So i was doing the mission where you have this really long train, (where you need to run for a mile to get to your seat) and while driving up the mountains, i realized some Sand should be used, because apparently my wheels were slipping, but my Amps were still climbing to the Red Zone, even when i reduced the Throttle somewhat, did i do something wrong, do you need to hold the Sand button all the time, or is there some timing you have to consider?

Thanks :3

If you just want sand on all axles, press and hold the X key, releasing it when you want the sand to stop flowing; to sand the lead axle only, press and release shift+X; press shift+X again to stop sanding. This information is stated incorrectly in the official TSW Manual. And, yes, this is quite awkward.

Thanks, i got it now! :P The Manual indeed says something confusing like "X - Toggle Lead Axle Sander"

Do you hold the sand lever on until the train starts moving? I'm trying the DB 83126 Laufach-Heigenbrucken Journey up a 2% grade from teh start and I can make it to 17kph then it's too steep and can't get traction, it slips backward, and I can't figure out sanding.

sand doesn't do anything in the game
@Axton that is probably a service where you have to wait for a loco helping you get up the hill, if there is a loco at the back you have to press the red comm button on the display at your left

This game doesn't have weather properties yet, so driving in rain is the same as driving in sunlight. Sander doesn't do anything.
