The Bad Reviews of this Epic game.
Alright firstly I really think this game is the Ultimate Train simulator others don't. I know that there are some bugs and glitches but give dovetail a break they are still working on the game. I bought this game with only a graphics card 2 upgrades higher than the minimum. THe game still runs fine for me but making a review this early in this games development is weird because they aren't done yet, the games rating should be decided when its done, completly fineshed.

GTX1050 is low end. Not even mid. GTX1080 is high end. You need a 1080 to get 4K in a few games (usually SLI 1080 is required though).

For some reason, I just gained 10fps by changing from "High" to "Ultra". WTF?

Well m8, I've just gone from high to ultra, plus I've turned on TAA which is supposed to be a frame rate killer.
I never dropped below 27fps in the yard and was almost always on at least 30, going up to over 40 at times.
Strangely, I tried it in 1517p DSR resolution and that only cost me about 3fps?
The only thing I can suggest is that by raising the graphics quality it has taken the bottleneck away from the processor and moved it to the gpu maybe?
The gpu is more able to cope so it runs better?
I really don't know for sure but if this keeps up I'm gonna have to change my review

One thing I can say is it looks sensational with everything ramped up to ultra and with TAA on.

All we need now is some passenger services!

Oh, I almost forgot, I've got a GTX 760 installed next to my 1080, just for doing physx calculations so I don't know if this is helping or not.

DTG is notorious for releasing and then Not fixing bugged software. TS2017 is a prime example and now so is TSW. After this latest update people are still complaining about the bugs in TSW which looks like will never be fixed.

EXAMPLE: DTG have been told about this a number of times.

Train goes thru a tunnel and the cab doesn't darken.

Train goes thru a tunnel and if you using an outside view the train doesn't darken. Even though it's going thru a tunnel it looks like it's in Bright Sunshine !!

Train goes thru a tunnel and if your in the outside view it doesn't automatically switch to the cab view which it does in TS2017 and when you come out of a tunnel it doesn't switch back to the outside view you were using as it does in TS2017.

Mmm I don't know if this game uses PhysX (I know TS does, and since I use an AMD RX580 all the PhysX goes on my CPU).

Maybe? (About the gpu coping better). It's a very graphic game with medium physics (not that impressive, really).

I do agree that everthing on ultra with TAA looks awesome, even if it costs me some frames (FXAA looks blurry as hell).

They said in an interview in december or so that in Q4 we would get german stuff. Not sure if passenger or not, but I hope so (maybe some light freight with it?). When I asked on facebook they didn't give any dates, but after asking if we would have to wait september, they said hopefully sooner, letting me believe it's for summer.

I find it amusing with all those bad reviews, and a lot of them around a half to almost one full hour of use. I've never had a problem they describe with this working, either. GTX 980 SC AC2.0 EVGA, Intel i7 4790K @4.4Ghz, 32 GB of RAM, 850 Pro SSD. I dunno.

They have less than 2 hours because of the refund policy. You have 2 hours to request a refund.

The problem comes from Train Simulator. Over the years, Dovetail has gained a reputation of releasing unfininished/broken content. Now, they've sold us another broken game, and most of us have lost patience and left a bad review. It also comes from the money-grabbing issue. Train Simulator includes 3 routes, and all the rest are 30€ routes, which, way too often, is too much for the poor effort Dovetail has done. Here, for the same price, you only get 1 route. True, it's a lot more detailed and you can see the amount of work they've put in it, but it's hard to deny the fact that for every new route, we're now looking at 30-40€/piece.

Myself, I do have a problem with their policy of not fixing broken content, to the point I wonder why they even bother putting a "submit ticket" on their website (the answers are automatic copy-paste, always the same), and why some of us bother submitting tickets for broken DLC (this is more a complaint towards TS and not TSW).

Concerning what you mean by graphics card, it also comes from TS, where you're fine with a dualcore, as the game isn't optimized for more than that. Dovetail keeps saying it's because the engine is old (original 2006, their version is 2009), but they've shown with TSW: CSX that the problem comes from them. We still get low framerates even with overclocked i7's and 1080ti's, and don't see much difference between mid and high end cpus, showing that optimization isn't fully done-yet (not sure they'll ever bother though).

I can do 50 fps in high settings in wildlands (horrible optimization), but in TSW, I'm barely getting 40fps in high seetings (currently on an i5-6500, my i7 crashes randomly too often).

damn I was hoping to see some imporvements or something in the discussion about the game, and I really wanted this game to be good. After this, Im just going to keep my money. Thank you.

The Lightning Diamond is right, we should give the DTG a break :)

I don't know actually. I guess we should give them a break up to some point (extra time to learn Unreal, have to agree that learnign a whole new engine takes time), but we can't start accepting broken games/DLC.

That is exactly what DTG expect you to do, give them a break, so they can release the next horribly overpriced DLC for a broken TSW. Now if they change the word from "simulator" to "arcade"....I think that would be an honest step in the right direction.

I have an older pc with a decent graphics system but I get most of my parts for free from dell.
I've grown up loving one thing trains and so thats why I think this game is great, yes it has some bugs but you can get through them they aren't terrible.
Dr. Livesey 2017 年 6 月 5 日 下午 1:50
Plus I know alot about how trains work.

So has the game improved or not?? The first comment (the one I replied to) was making what seemed to be really good points with backing as to why the game sucks and he seems to know what he is talking about.
