A GTX 1050 is a snail compared to a GTX 1080 my friend :)
GTX1050 is low end. Not even mid. GTX1080 is high end. You need a 1080 to get 4K in a few games (usually SLI 1080 is required though).
Well m8, I've just gone from high to ultra, plus I've turned on TAA which is supposed to be a frame rate killer.
I never dropped below 27fps in the yard and was almost always on at least 30, going up to over 40 at times.
Strangely, I tried it in 1517p DSR resolution and that only cost me about 3fps?
The only thing I can suggest is that by raising the graphics quality it has taken the bottleneck away from the processor and moved it to the gpu maybe?
The gpu is more able to cope so it runs better?
I really don't know for sure but if this keeps up I'm gonna have to change my review
One thing I can say is it looks sensational with everything ramped up to ultra and with TAA on.
All we need now is some passenger services!
Oh, I almost forgot, I've got a GTX 760 installed next to my 1080, just for doing physx calculations so I don't know if this is helping or not.
EXAMPLE: DTG have been told about this a number of times.
Train goes thru a tunnel and the cab doesn't darken.
Train goes thru a tunnel and if you using an outside view the train doesn't darken. Even though it's going thru a tunnel it looks like it's in Bright Sunshine !!
Train goes thru a tunnel and if your in the outside view it doesn't automatically switch to the cab view which it does in TS2017 and when you come out of a tunnel it doesn't switch back to the outside view you were using as it does in TS2017.
Maybe? (About the gpu coping better). It's a very graphic game with medium physics (not that impressive, really).
I do agree that everthing on ultra with TAA looks awesome, even if it costs me some frames (FXAA looks blurry as hell).
They said in an interview in december or so that in Q4 we would get german stuff. Not sure if passenger or not, but I hope so (maybe some light freight with it?). When I asked on facebook they didn't give any dates, but after asking if we would have to wait september, they said hopefully sooner, letting me believe it's for summer.
They have less than 2 hours because of the refund policy. You have 2 hours to request a refund.
damn I was hoping to see some imporvements or something in the discussion about the game, and I really wanted this game to be good. After this, Im just going to keep my money. Thank you.
That is exactly what DTG expect you to do, give them a break, so they can release the next horribly overpriced DLC for a broken TSW. Now if they change the word from "simulator" to "arcade"....I think that would be an honest step in the right direction.
I've grown up loving one thing trains and so thats why I think this game is great, yes it has some bugs but you can get through them they aren't terrible.
