Sorry I did not react sooner, Steam unfortunately has no email notifications for new threads. I think when I do the update post, I’ll also pin a post with alternative ways to contact me 😅
But thank you for giving an update here yourself, as that always makes it easier for people who may find this thread because they googled for similar problems.
I always push old patches / builds of 12 orbits into the “beta” branches on Steam. That means if a newer version causes problems that an old one didn’t, you can just switch to the old one instead. This can be a quick fix to start playing again, or it can help with finding out what the problem actually is (e.g. if the old versions suddenly stopped working as well, something else might be the problem).
To access the older versions:
- Right-click on 12 orbits in the Steam launcher games list
- “Properties…”
- “Beta”
- Set “Beta Perticipation” to anything that starts with “previous version”
This should immediately cause Steam to download different files for 12 orbits. If nothing happens, restarting Steam is always worth a try (and if so, check if the same "beta" version is still selected after that restart)(the lower the number, the older the version)
