Same spell in a more recent version of the game:

It's just fire creo + rain + size + move. Highly mana efficient and kills stuff in no time. Not sure if it's supposed to stack like that though.
I am partial to Actus spells since their innate flexibility allows me to not use Ether. My go-tos are Homing, non-Move Actuses or Periodic, At Once Move Actuses.
On the other hand, we'd love to showcase some of the cool things you can do with the spellcrafting system to get people's imagination going. It's hard to communicate that line of what's ok/not ok to share, so we thought it best just to ask people not to share anything yet.
That said, I'd love to make some .gifs of different spells you can make. I have a few like the one I posted above, and a rotating turret that shoots fireballs. One other beta tester also make a shield that pushes enemies away and shoots fireballs. (Ego + homing + inverse + periodic --> Actus + move)
Edit: Also works on a swarm! I added a proximity trigger of itself, and then I targetted that are in the quarry where you fight the swarm of oozes. Almost instangly, it dumped my entire mana pool into a flood of sparks that burst forth and washed over the screen, annihilating everything... So many of them that the game actually started stuttering trying to keep up. I didn't dare use a mana flower for fear of crashing the game from the sheer number of them.
to add, that single actus spell was enough to wipe entire dark tower out in ~3-4min (only needed change element to fire and back to air at 1st room), on last boss single cast was strong enough to clear the stage
((dublicate makes it triple ball, homing and balls never miss even after initial mob has died, soon as ball hits: explosion ...and it keeps casting itself long as there is mobs nearby or till mana runs out (means it stops manadrain soon as nearby mobs are out) and mastery on air ... just wipes out entire room really fast with endless string of chain attacks))

After that it started from the fire rain again.
Yes, 1 cast of this emptied your mana completely, but there was nothing in the game that survived it.
I love doing over-the-top useless stuff like this, it brought me great joy!
So sad the game didn't actually live out its own depth!
Imagine all the puzzles and situations that you can have with a system this deep!
For mana efficiency, it's just better to use teleport+move+fire+rain that uses at once to trigger a copy of itself in another spell slot which doesn't have the at once rune.
But this game is meant to be crazy and using all your mana for one spell so, whatever is flashiest works
