Promised Online Co-op?

Please, PLEASE don't tell me online co-op has been scrapped. Am I missing something? If not, this will be the third Kickstarter in a row that I supported solely on the promise of online co-op that didn't deliver. I was counting on playing seasons with my friend online.

The game is released, but we are still going to expand it. And online coop mode is on the list. We couldn't make it before release, sorry - we decided to go with 1x1 online mode first.

Oh thank goodness! I can wait. The other developers scrapped it altogether. It was truly disappointing.

I got news for you, Phlegm—online co-op is never going to happen. It’s just something developers say to grab dollars from an extra subset of gamers who might not bite otherwise. Then, later, co-op seems like a low priority feature against what their existing user base (who’s just fine with single-player or competitive) is clamoring for. And it NEVER. HAPPENS. I’m 0 for 9 on backed games going this way and I’ve seen it way too many times.

I’ve stopped getting in on the front end of these games and simply promise to buy two (or more) copies if the project ever delivers.

I hope you are wrong when it comes to MFL, but I've seen it happen with other Kickstarters too. For the most part I've stopped backing computer games for the same reason.

Online co-op was on the list for Kickstarter release. It has now been well over two years since then with no news for an almost equal amount of time. I think it's safe to say it's not happening.

Alternatively you can just use Parsec to play it in online coop. Works perfectly fine if you have a somewhat decent online connection + pc.

What good is online multiplayer, when only 10 people are playing the game on Steam?

You would only complain that the lobbies are empty.

Actually, I want to play online co-op seasons with a friend against the computer. That is only reason why we both supported the Kickstarter. We have no interest in playing against other people.

Where was this confirmed at? I can't find anything to that effect. Everything I find has them saying it's planned, but obviously 2 years later I have no hopes of that. I'm just curious and would like to see the source.
