I also recall the female commander wearing a slightly more revealing top in the original. But that may have been my imagination kicking into over drive :P
Anyway, talking of Stammels, how could they have stammels in the game but no anti-stammel gas? Pratically the anti-shark spray of rogue's/bagman's arsennal. Even in the (probably one and only) story the gas is used, it's not exactly obvious why a standard micro-mine field of a few plasma grenades wouldn't have done the job just as well.
When my and my brother play the Gamesworkshop boardgame (you know, from before they sold their soul and everything had to be Warhammer related), we always keep digi-pinups (which really has no use) over anti-stammel gas (which has one use, maybe, every few games, if the stars align) if the chose comes up, as a runnning joke to it's uselessness.
I'm also a big fan of the old board game, been working on and off on a fan expansion to add some more flavor to the game - I also tried to add in elements from other RT stories, even this game. It can be found on BGG at https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1757702/fan-expansion
[edit]Just had a look at your homebrew cards, and spotted "Improvised Weapon", finally an actual use for digi pinups (if your GI is willing to give up his pr0n collection), and I suspect anti-stammel gas would be more used as an "improvised weapon" than it's stated use in actual gameplay with that card in the deck
