I'm not convinced this would really work with the 'pause while you power-up and aim' mechanism of big kicks and tackles. Either it would get really annoying for the game to keep stopping while the other player aimed or those mechanisms would need revising. So either not very good, or not actually the same game.

Yeah, multiplayer was bad so I dropped it. I'm not expecting to add it I'm afraid. It was designed as a single player game and crowbarring in local MP didn't work.

Ah that's a shame, local multiplayer seems like it'd be a lot of fun, but I can see how the mechanics wouldn't work so well. You'd need to modify them too much, like making the slow-down effect local a small area around the player doing the kick/tackle, and then it'd not play like real football any more ;)

Could you do a local multiplayer maybe sharing the same keyboard? You could also be on the same team, it doesn't have to be Vs - Player A could control when the ball is on the left hand side of the pitch, and Player B could control when it's on the right, (both players could control the kickoff)..

If that doesn't work, maybe split it between the two halves, or maybe one player does the running, and the other does the shooting?

Hah you could probably do that 2nd option anyway, you don't need me. One person uses the mouse, the other the keys. Bam ,multiplayer ;)

This works great for so many unexpected games, I suggest everyone should try it at random : )

Like, I mostly played this way LHX, and Amnesia. Worked wonderfully.
