Demoralized and wounded troops

Hi

My question is about the outcome of a battle. Dead soldiers are obviously a pure loss, but how about wounded and demoralized soldiers?
I guess the wounded soldiers will be healed after a while and will be fighting again, but after how much time? What determines this exactly?
And what about the demoralized soldiers? Are they gonna be fighting in the next battle right away, they just runaway from the current battle, but didn't get wounded or died?

demoralized soldiers are ok after the battle. It's just the guys that run away due to low morale. I don't think there's PTSD mechanic in the game so it's just all the guys that survive the combat and fight next time.

They reduce the workforce ratio of the pop.

Demoralised recover morale after some time and ready to fight.
Woulded partially trickle back and ready to fight, rest become dependants in the pop.
