Empty map areas

So I am having a problem with the games map where countries are missing and leaving blank empty areas that nobody can do anything with. This is not a problem I had when I got the game but after an update a while back (can't remember which one) the country that was located where Kazakhstan is is no longer there, and after getting the Sphere of Influence DLC, now Afghanistan is gone. Is anyone else having this problem and how do I fix it?

one of the last patches changed the map, so central asia is splitted in different countries, that changes can make problems with mods and savegames

I just started up the game with all of my mods turned off to run it vanilla with DLC and that fixed the issue. I must have installed a mod around the time of an update and just thought that it was the update. Now I just need to figure out which mod was causing the problem. Thanks for the help.

just check the logs , then you will find easier the troublemaking mod. the game produce many different logs when running game in debug mode, about each thing.

Note that when 1.7 came out out the map was no longer compatible with the map before 1.7 because new countries were added, so pre 1.7 savegames should not be used with version 1.7. If you did it would give you problems like you are describing probably.
