Game Unplayable - For 3 more months?!?!?
The game is absolutely unplayable for me, constant freezes, constant crashes, the only way I can somewhat get around it is going into task manager and preventing Victoria 3 from using every CPU core. Because eventually it will spike up to 100% usage and freeze my whole PC, and will only unfreeze the game once I click off into my desktop and unfocus the game (thanks Microsoft!)

The issue? Compatibility issues with the 24H2 windows update with a chaser of bugs from the 1.8 launch. You then recognize the crippling stability issues caused by the windows update and then say that it will be fixed only ON THE LAUNCH OF 1.9. WHY. Your recommendation of rolling back the update doesn't even fix the compatibility issues, so there is currently no work-around, I'm just screwed.

So knowing that, why do we have to wait 3 MORE MONTHS after already waiting 3 months for you to make this game playable? I absolutely refuse to go through the process of doing a fresh install of windows just to make 1 game playable.

I understand that the crashes are not entirely the dev's fault, its Microsoft for releasing a bad version of windows. But holy **** man it is their fault for benching these important compatibility fixes for some DLC. There is a good chance in 3 months I wont even be thinking about buying the new DLC after the patch for Victoria 3, because I cant play it, so why would I? Your alienating your player-base right now because I am surely not the only one about to perma-uninstall due to the crippling compatibility issues.

I was thinking the same thing...so I have to wait until June for an update to make the game playable past 1875? lol.

You have three options:
1. Try to fiddle around a bit. Downgrading your video card drivers sometimes does the trick.
2. Use the opportunity to switch to linux, or at least to a more stable windows like 10.
3. Acknowledge that you've been scammed, and either request a refund, or take a long break from the game. Especially since the 1.9 patch might not fix the issue right away, or even introduce new bugs.

You are mistaken unless everyone else has the same problem. Its your computer that is at fault somehow. You've had one positive response. Amongst thousands.
Shilling for paradox won't earn you anything. Unless you're on their payroll, that is.

I dont know what rock you've been living under but compatibility issues with Victoria 3's 1.8 patch and the newest Windows 24H2 update are a very wide spread issue that has already been acknowledged by the Dev team on the forums.
