Yes, it does. Thank you for being their beta tester.

That's a bit far. Even the 1.7 one works well enough.

A lot of people, actually.

Which video card do you have? If it's a newer nvidia one, try going back at least two driver versions, and pick the "Studio" build.

Have you tried going back to the 561.09 "Studio" version for your video card?

The newest game version and the newest nvidia driver are currently like cats'n'dogs.

Well, it seemed that downgrading worked for some people. Have you purged the shader cache? Try disabling the pre-compiled ones as well.

where and how?

Steam settings, downloads, shader pre-caching. Disable it, clear the cache manually, then launch the game.

The shader cache for Victoria 3 is in Steam/steamapps/shadercache/529340

Try re-verify the game. Then log out Paradox account on the main menu. It seems work for me so far.

It seems that paradox managed to introduce a whole bundle of new bugs with their new "patch", and we're currently trying to find workarounds for them, through nothing but blind trial'n'error. If the already known fixes don't work for you, then it's entirely paradox' fault.

I am, for my part, sick and tired of playing the beta tester for those accursed, money-grubbing barbarians up north.

I actually have problems with a Paradox game for the first time. I've been spared until now. I just hope they find the issue and fix it quickly...

Oh, their games are buggy enough, you were indeed lucky.

Once they get enough bug reports from their users, they might churn out a patch. I'll just play someting else in the meantime. Screw them, and their disgusting, scummy, money-grubbing business practices.

Thank you nonetheless, even if your help didn't lead to success.

Oh, have you tried something utterly crazy? Set all visuals to ultra-low, and try playing it on the onboard video chip.
