Can't cancel colony ???!

Playing as Brazil and just stared colonizing Micronesia but the button to cancel colony is greyed out. Can pause but not cancel the colony why is that???

It will prevent you from canceling while at war. I think it may also prevent during Diplomatic Play, not sure though.

I am still able to cancel my 2 colonies in Africa but not the 1 in Pacific Islands... East Micronesia that is. I am not involved in wars or diplomatic plays...

I just had the same issue. Did you find out?

I think it's a bug. Certain colonies could be cancelled and others not, the diplo action bar (this is from memory, played the game months ago) didn't show any particular reason as it usually does, also checked other posts and it all points to it being a bug. Best of luck in your game!

No you can't cancel a colony if there's a war or some diplomatic play in that strategic region.

This may not apply to your micronesia situation, but it's impossible to cancel colonization on an incorporated state.
