The Journal entry I. the Supreme is stupid, in my current run, I am 20 years into the game, José is still going at the age of 90. Which locks me out of doing any kinds of reforms, which is needed for the achievement, I cannot colonize or anything. This is stupid, I even checked Google, which stated that irl he died in 1840, 4 years after the game starts.

There really should be something that kills him after a certain amount of time.

I'm also having this issue. Paraguay basically unplayable until he dies. Was looking forward to winning the War of the Triple Alliance. Is there a way to oust him from power manually? because im just going to kill him with a console command at this point,

I managed to kick him out almost right away although you get a debuff of -40% law chance it still let me attempt it and after multiple good ticks it eventually went into a positive chance and let me change government type away from him.

I made from the start a bigger army and attacked with Jose Argentinia and took 1-2 Lands... Jose got 100 Years old in my game. But in this Time I attacked Urugay and a secont time Argentinia. After Jose died I joined the British Market and had a good Run.

It's the modifier he has. +100% to character health means he lives twice as long, 100 years. It makes you wonder how a paradox dev can see that and not realize how stupid it is.
Also console commands won't work as it doesn't fire the event for a change in leadership
