Independence might work, but the game rules scale down quite badly. Playing as a tiny country, especially a landlocked one, is both a massive chore and a risky gamble.

This was the furthest I got. Independant & doing well sort of. But the timing is off, should be way earlier :/
If you're trying to brag, at least do it correctly.
In my game i managed that achievment in the year 1935. so it was a close call
