Achievement issue?

I was trying to get the Star-Swarmed Banner achievement. It states
"As the United States, have 100 incorporated states represented on your flag"
I played as the united states.. I incorporated all of south America, Central America, and North America. I was The Syndicate States of America, but regardless I never got the achievement.
Can someone please explain to me why I never got this achievement ?

I do believe you have to remain as the United States of America. You can't enact or do anything specifically to alter the naming of your nation.

You completed the challenge as "the Syndicate States of America" but not as "the United States of America".

Did you make sure your own states were incorporated? During the civil war states like Maryland, Virginia, etc. Need to be re-incorporated back into the country. Another factor is that those states you took need to be fully incorporated to count for the achievement. And some could take up to 20 years to fully be counted. I also agree with another comment that I think the country has to remain as the USA and not one of its variants. Hope that helps

Correct me if I'm, but to get Syndicate of America, you need to have Oligarchy, right?

"United Syndicates of America" needs council republic. I didn't find the "Syndicate States of America" which the OP mentioned, but maybe it is a different wording in another language or from a mod. In the unmodded game, a council republic would not meet the achievement requirements and it would also result in this flag[vic3.paradoxwikis.com], so you would not have stars on the flag. I think the only way to get a flag with 100 stars as the USA and not be eligible for the achievement would be with the parliamentary republic law and without autocracy (autocracy+parliamentary/presidential republic would give this flag[vic3.paradoxwikis.com] instead).

I would go to the main menu, click on achievements and select the tab "possible" to have a look.

Thank you all for replying. The answer is simple. You just need to stay a Presidential Republic to obtain the achievement. I have given a medal to the person who gave me the best answer.

I think it might actually be bugged though. I just reached the milestone of 101 incorp states. Stayed a Republic, etc and still never received the achievement.

It used to be bugged that if you had more then 100 states it would not fire, but they fixed it in 1.0.6.

Note that for the achievement the wiki has the following:
-District of Colombia is never counted as a state. Additionally, West Virginia does not count unless the American Civil War has occurred.

Also you have to be a presidential republic and not have the Autocracy law passed.

So likely you need to state a couple more states since the capital does not count, plus West Virginia if you never had the civil war
