Any tips for early game as Persian Empire?

Newbie here, so what are common strategies for Persia?

Research line infantry, its the first thing you should ever do as an unrecognized state to be able to defend yourself against great powers, then just puppet the entire east, unless it touches India you should be fine because line infantry + the debuffs from landing make it nearly impossible for examle UK to even touch you. and if you got the population you can win any early war even with line infantry, very used strategy as Qing where I got the whole of india in 1850

Puppeting those guys is kinda annoying as their civil wars invite foreign intervention from the UK and Russia. You have a return CB on much of that so conquest is fine.
