Constant crashes

Anyone else having constant random crashes ?

I even did a clean install but still can't play since the last update...

You can return to older versions, in Steam, by going to game properties -> betas -> choose your game version. Choose "none" when you want to return to the newest version.

The problem seems to be fixed if all MODs are disabled from the playset.

start the game in debug mode and if the error number keeps climbing click the number and read some of the notes that pop up in the text file.

it shows you what file and what line causes issues. if you are paused and the number is climbing there is an error in the files with some missing or double inputs.

From experience there is only one thing that causes crashes with the frequency you guys mention and that is the issue with modified regions/army frontline adjacency errors.

I looked over the possible errors and the lines shown here are not able to crash the game imo. there has to be something else that cause it.

i think you have a save file that was brocken by the update.

Do you have mods enabled? if you have some look in the workshop what the supported version is. best to disable them all and wait for updates down the line.

in your case the problem seems to be relatad to the landowners that are not present in a certain province in india required for scripts.

go into the documents folder and copy out the vic3 save games, then delete the vic3 folder in documents.
start the game and make a dummy save, copy back the saves into the new saves folder and see if that helped.

thanks for the idea, i didn't have much a mind to backup any save files or anything like that so i just went ahead and deleted the vic3 docs folder.... i'll try a campaign and see how far i can get

Snap, beyond a joke now. Paradox fast losing credibility and don't seem to be able to launch any stable titles. Ive reinstalled, disabled cloud saves and still crashes every 10 minutes. No pattern either
