How to leave a power bloc?
The button is greyed out and the game doesn't tell me how to gain leverage.
Germany keeps toggling my market access and ruins my economy. It's not a demand, Germany just wills it to be true and it becomes reality.
How do I leave the bloc?

you must get more influence above their market, or out produce them, or have a bigger army.

I ran into this also. I joined France’s bloc (as Mexico). I was careful not to let them build too much and get too much leverage BUT they had a Foreign Investment principle that allows them to invest in lower rank members (I didn’t realize until too late). So I thought I was screwed.
But, he also had the Aggressive Coordination principle so I kept calling him into my wars to take U.S. states. I got up to about 55 infamy and he kicked me out. I was laughing out loud because it was exactly what I wanted.
I think the infamy and poor relations was hurting the Cohesion or maybe he was just tired of me calling him into wars.

So, I guess my point is that one way out of a bloc is to hurt the Cohesion enough that they kick you out.

could also do diplomatic play for increase as a last resort

I don’t think that was an option in my case. It was a military treaty bloc and block member s are not able to start plays against each other. Maybe the Defensive Coordination? Can’t remember exactly now but I know I looked very carefully at all the diplomatic options for a way out.

Do you mean increase autonomy? Because I was not a subject. Just a bloc member. I guess some in this thread a talking about subjects in Sovereign Empire blocs.
